I can say after 8 years in the Army, there is nothing like going home! Even if it's a brief visit, it is always great to be at home. But after two years in Japan, it is even more exciting. Not only for seeing our families but for being in the US. I miss SOOOOO much! Like: my car, Target, 24 hour stores that aren't 7-11's, SHOPPING, American food, being able to read a menu and order without pointing, malls, the sun rising at a reasonable hour...So many things.
In just 5 days (Holy Hannah!) we will be on plane heading home. I started to freak out when Rori's passport got here at the last minue. But we all have passports, tickets, and so far no one is sitting next to us on the plane! I am really looking forward to arriving back in the states and seeing my family. I have missed everyone so much, and I can't wait for everyone to meet my new little princess. I have been having wonderful dreams about seeing everyone again.
